The Set Up:

• Easy to deploy off the back of any vessel (or jetty), the BOAT02 is based on the proven design of the Ocean Guardian FREEDOM7 dive product and provides a large and powerful protective swimming area of around 8m (26′) deep x 6m (20′) diameter.
• An industrial strength designed power module sits in the safety buoy. Connected to the power module is a 4.4m (14.5’) antenna with two Marine 316 stainless steel mesh electrodes built-in along the length of it, which when submerged, create the three-dimensional protective electrical field.
• Powered by either the internal Lithium battery or from your vessel, you can also daisy chain up to four devices to create a “virtual shark net

NOTE - We recommend you do your own research about the effectiveness of shark deterrents. They have been found to deter sharks but will not necessarily to so every time. However we have found that Ocean Guardian's Shark Shield technology is the best currently out there. We recommend you start with this article  and use Google to find other information that is available online. It is important to be aware that no device can be 100% effective at deterring sharks, and preventing a shark attack.

WARNING - A large pulsing current is emitted from the Ocean Guardian's antenna to produce the protective electric field. Anyone with any electronic medical device (EMD) or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) such as a pacemaker, who is pregnant, or has a health condition which could be affected by the electric field, should not use the device. Some examples of health conditions include heart disease, a history of heart problems, peripheral vascular disease, stroke, a history of fainting or epilepsy, or lung disease. Users unintentionally being in close proximity,  or in contact with the antenna, may possibly suffer muscle spasms in varying degrees; we recommend that users may need to make adjustments to limit contact in these situations.
