Copper Sheathing Nails with a Large Flat Head and Round Shank.
Sold per 100 grams. For example, a quantity of "5" will equate to 500 grams.
Flat head, smooth, round-shanked copper nails for boat copper sheathing applications. These copper nails (sometimes called copper tingles) are ideal for fixing copper sheet to boat hulls or any other below-the-waterline application requiring protection from worm and marine growth.
The large head and smooth shank design ensures the nails can be removed easily when it comes time to replace the copper sheets (every 15-20 years or so).
Sheathing a boat's hull in copper involves fixing over-lapped copper sheets to the underside of the boat's hull with copper clouts every inch or so. The hull needs to be sound prior to sheathing as the copper does not provide a waterproof seal - just a barrier to marine worm and growth.
Our copper clouts are sold in increments of 100 grams. Discounts automatically apply for orders of 500g or more.
