Super SARCA Stainless Steel Anchor

The Super SARCA (Sand And Rock Combination Anchor) is designed and manufactured in Australia, using high quality 316 Stainless Steel. It is an improvement over the original SARCA, with 30% more holding power. The stainless steel Super SARCA has a satin electropolished finish for maximum durability.

This anchor's unique geometry makes it safe and easy to use. The holding power of the Super SARCA is exceptional across multiple seabed types.

The slotted shank is used to "trip" the anchor when retrieving from rocky seabeds and reefs. A stainless steel D shackle (not included) must be used for proper function.

The story of the SARCA boat anchor (Sand and Reef Combination anchor) started with a range of innovations by Rex Francis. Rex developed the SARCA anchor over 6 years, with feedback from commercial fisherman and boaties alike.

SARCA was the world's first purpose designed combination anchor. Initially released to the Australian market in 1997, SARCA anchors are now sold around the world. Rex also extended the range to suit vessels up to 300 tons. The current range includes the Super SARCA and the hoopfree SARCA Excel. Both are available in galvanised steel and 316 stainless. The Excel is also available in aluminium, with a removable shank for easy stowage.

Please Note: The stainless steel SARCA anchors have an electropolished satin finish, they are not mirror polished.

Retrieval Technique:

Mud and sand

1. Manoeuvre directly over the anchor and apply light and steady windlass pressure.
2. The slotted blade reduces suction and the long shank increases leverage, making retrieval easier.

Rock and Reef

1. Manoeuvre directly over the anchor, and take in all slack. Release approx. 0.5m of rope and tie off.
2. Motor forward over the anchor. The anchor shackle will slide along the trip slot and lift the anchor from the back.
3. Once the anchor releases from the seabed, the shackle slides to the end of the shank, resetting the anchor for easy stowage in the bow roller.
